Sr Application Developer, Integrations
Mexico (Virtual Office)
Role Overview:
Build the integration foundation that keeps Genesys critical business processes connected, reliable, and ready for AI-enabled automation. As a Sr Application Developer, Integrations, you will own cloud-native solutions that move data and actions securely across Salesforce, Zuora Billing, Workday, and the AWS services supporting the Order-to-Cash lifecycle.
You will shape integrations end to end, from architecture and API or event design through deployment, observability, and production support. Using AWS serverless technologies, API-led patterns, and event-driven architectures, you will improve the accuracy, scalability, and resilience of business-critical data flows while helping teams deliver change with confidence.
You will also extend AI capabilities into enterprise workflows using Amazon Bedrock, AWS AI services, SageMaker-hosted models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your work will give AI systems governed access to enterprise data and actions while applying the guardrails, evaluation, PII protections, observability, and cost controls required for responsible production use.
This role offers direct exposure to enterprise-wide initiatives spanning finance, sales, billing, platform engineering, and AI. You will influence integration standards, partner across technical and business teams, and expand your expertise in serverless architecture and enterprise AI while helping Genesys create more connected, dependable experiences for the teams and customers who rely on these systems.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Design scalable, cloud-native integrations across Salesforce, Zuora Billing, Workday, and other enterprise platforms using AWS API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, and SNS to improve reliability and support business growth
-
Own integration solutions end to end, translating business and technical requirements into maintainable architectures with clear data mappings, schemas, error handling, retry strategies, idempotency, and reconciliation controls
-
Strengthen Order-to-Cash data integrity by connecting opportunity, quote, order, subscription, invoicing, payment, finance, and worker data across enterprise systems
-
Drive reliable platform interoperability by applying Salesforce REST, Bulk, Composite APIs and Platform Events; Zuora REST and Object or Query APIs; and Workday REST, SOAP, and RaaS patterns with appropriate authentication, rate limits, and governor controls
-
Diagnose complex transaction and data failures across system boundaries, tracing issues end to end to reduce recurrence and protect the accuracy of business-critical processes
-
Develop reproducible, change-controlled AWS serverless environments using infrastructure-as-code practices such as CloudFormation or Terraform, supported by automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
-
Improve platform resilience through proactive logging, monitoring, alerting, distributed tracing, root-cause analysis, and targeted improvements to integration performance and maintainability
-
Build governed AI-enabled integrations using Amazon Bedrock, AWS AI services, purpose-built AI APIs, and SageMaker-hosted models to bring generative AI, reasoning, summarization, and automation into enterprise workflows
-
Design agentic, tool-using workflows with MCP servers and clients or Bedrock Agents, enabling AI systems to query and act on Salesforce, Zuora Billing, Workday, and other enterprise applications through controlled and auditable interfaces
-
Implement secure retrieval-augmented generation patterns using Bedrock Knowledge Bases, embeddings, and vector search technologies such as OpenSearch Serverless to make enterprise information accessible to AI-driven workflows
-
Apply responsible AI controls including Bedrock Guardrails, prompt and output validation, PII detection and redaction, model and prompt versioning, evaluation, observability, latency management, and token and cost monitoring
-
Accelerate engineering delivery with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor while establishing effective practices for code generation, refactoring, testing, and troubleshooting
-
Influence integration standards through design reviews and cross-functional collaboration with platform, data, finance, and application teams, helping create reusable patterns that reduce delivery time and integration bottlenecks
-
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 production support, resolving integration failures, documenting root causes, and turning operational insights into measurable improvements in reliability and supportability
Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience building and supporting cloud-based integration solutions, including meaningful hands-on experience with AWS
-
Hands-on proficiency with at least two AWS serverless or messaging services, including API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, or SNS
-
Demonstrated experience designing REST APIs, API-led integrations, or event-driven messaging architectures
-
Hands-on integration experience with at least one enterprise platform such as Salesforce, Zuora Billing, or Workday, including practical knowledge of APIs, authentication models, and rate or governor limits
-
Strong working knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes, including quote-to-order, order-to-billing, invoicing, payments, revenue, and the data relationships connecting these processes
-
Practical experience integrating Amazon Bedrock, AWS AI services, or equivalent AI capabilities into production workflows
-
Working understanding of production controls for AI-backed integrations, including input and output validation, PII handling, guardrails, latency considerations, evaluation, and token and cost management
-
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices using CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent tooling
-
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and diagnose complex issues spanning multiple services, APIs, applications, and data sources
-
Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to collaborate on technical decisions, coordinate platform changes, and communicate impacts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience building or consuming Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients, or working with agent frameworks such as Bedrock Agents
-
Experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) using embeddings and vector stores such as OpenSearch Serverless
-
Exposure to Amazon SageMaker for hosting or invoking custom machine learning models
-
Familiarity with subscription billing data models, revenue processes, or platforms such as Zuora Billing
-
Familiarity with integration platform as a service (iPaaS) technologies such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or AWS AppFlow
-
AWS certification at Developer Associate level or higher, with AWS Certified AI Practitioner or Machine Learning Engineer Associate credentials considered an advantage
-
Experience applying API documentation and specification standards such as OpenAPI or Swagger
