The Warehouse Specialist serves as Movado Group’s primary operational liaison for outsourced warehouse operations in Mexico. The role is responsible for monitoring fulfillment performance, inventory accuracy, receiving capacity, pick/pack execution, reverse logistics, value-added services, warehouse billing, and warehouse-related SAP/WMS exceptions. This role is critical during the transition from the current operating model to the future 3PL model, ensuring that daily business continuity, service levels, inventory control, and go-live readiness are protected before, during, and after implementation.
Key Responsibilities
3PL Warehouse Governance
- Serve as Movado’s primary operational contact for warehouse execution with the 3PL partner.
- Monitor warehouse performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs, processing capacities, cut-offs, and operating procedures.
- Coordinate day-to-day issue resolution with 3PL operations, inventory control, COS/KAM, IT/SAP, Customer Operations, Finance/Credit, and Commercial stakeholders.
- Maintain visibility of warehouse issues, action logs, root causes, corrective actions, and closure status.
- Support periodic business reviews, operational reviews, and continuous improvement discussions with the 3PL.
Fulfillment and Order Processing Oversight
- Monitor order processing, pick/pack activity, fulfillment capacity, open orders, order aging, shipment holds, and service-level performance.
- Investigate fulfillment exceptions including allocation issues, inventory shortages, pick/pack delays, order release failures, shipment holds, backorders, and incomplete order risks.
- Coordinate escalation and resolution of warehouse issues that may impact customer orders, sales execution, or service commitments.
- Support daily order prioritization and alignment with Customer Operations and Commercial when critical orders require attention.
- Monitor e-commerce fulfillment activity and parcel collection follow-up when warehouse execution affects e-commerce service levels.
Receiving, Storage and Value-Added Services
- Monitor inbound receiving capacity, receiving backlog, putaway performance, storage utilization, POSM/consumables handling, and warehouse readiness for inbound arrivals.
- Coordinate with Logistics Specialist and inbound partners when shipment arrivals or documentation affect warehouse receiving execution.
- Monitor warehouse execution of value-added services such as labeling, NOM-related labeling activities, packaging support, POSM handling, and other in-scope warehouse activities.
- Track high/peak season capacity needs and support escalation when additional warehouse resources or overtime may be required.
Inventory Accuracy and Control
- Monitor inventory accuracy, inventory status, cycle count execution, annual physical inventory process, and monthly reconciliation activities.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with the 3PL, IT/SAP, Finance, and internal stakeholders.
- Support inventory reconciliation between SAP and WMS, including issue clarification, adjustment follow-up, damaged goods, blocked inventory, and pending inventory actions.
- Track cycle counts, annual physical inventory preparation, count results, root causes, and action plans.
- Ensure warehouse inventory processes support accurate product availability and order fulfillment.
Reverse Logistics and Returns
- Monitor reverse logistics receipt, returns receiving capacity, returns aging, quality inspection reporting, RA creation/follow-up, and return status visibility.
- Coordinate with Customer Operations, Billing/AR, and the 3PL to ensure returns are processed, classified, and reported in a timely manner.
- Follow up on missing returns, returned product discrepancies, and pending return actions with the appropriate teams.
- Support visibility of returns that may impact inventory availability, credit note processes, or customer claims.
SAP / WMS Operational Coordination
- Monitor SAP/WMS operational flows related to order release, inventory movements, receipt confirmation, shipping confirmation, returns receipt, and inventory synchronization.
- Coordinate troubleshooting of warehouse-related system errors, inventory interface issues, sales interface issues, order status discrepancies, and WMS exceptions.
- Support UAT, system stabilization, hyper care, and post-go-live issue resolution for warehouse-related processes.
- Work with IT/SAP, the 3PL, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational issues are logged, assigned, escalated, and resolved.
Warehouse Billing Validation and Cost Control
- Review and validate warehouse-related billing, including inbound, storage, outbound handling, VAS, reverse logistics, overtime, and other warehouse service charges.
- Support monthly billing audit and reconciliation with the 3PL and internal Finance stakeholders.
- Identify billing discrepancies, validate supporting documentation, and follow up until closure.
- Support cost improvement strategies and SLA enhancements tied to warehouse productivity, processing capacity, and service performance.
Go-Live Readiness, Hypercare and Stabilization
- Support 3PL go-live readiness, SOP validation, SLA definition, warehouse setup planning, inventory migration, training, and stabilization activities.
- Participate in readiness checkpoints, issue tracking, testing, inventory reconciliation, and go/no-go preparation for warehouse transition.
- Support hyper care monitoring after go-live, including order status, inventory exceptions, fulfillment performance, warehouse issues, and KPI performance.
- Coordinate transition-related operational actions with internal stakeholders and the 3PL project team.
Functional Coordination and Communication
- Provide functional guidance, priorities, and follow-up to Customer Operations Admins and Billing Analyst on warehouse-related topics,
including order issues, billing exceptions, returns, and customer-impacting warehouse matters.
- Maintain proactive communication with Operations, Customer Operations, Logistics, IT/SAP, Finance/Credit, Commercial, and 3PL stakeholders.
- Escalate service risks before they impact customers, sales, inventory availability, or billing accuracy.
- Identify recurring warehouse issues and recommend process improvements to improve service, efficiency, control, and scalability.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.

3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, logistics, customer operations, or supply chain environments.

Experience working with third-party logistics providers and outsourced warehouse operations preferred.

Working knowledge of SAP, WMS, inventory management, fulfillment, returns, and order management processes preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, follow-up, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, investigate issues, drive resolution, and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and relationship management skills with internal stakeholders and external 3PL partners.
