Involves the completion of administrative tasks and coordination relating to the front-line operation which may include data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities , despatch activities and local customer service. While operational tasks may be part of these roles, the majority of time is spent on office-based activities.
"General Job Description:
Under general supervision perform the following activities:

Prepare all necessary customs forms to allow import, export and transit procedures to carry out in a timely, efficient and effective manner for shipments arriving and departing by air, i.e., master guides, cargo manifests and general declarations, invoices and any additional related documentation.

Prepare forms detailing custom duties, duties and taxes / VAT.
-
Prepare international manifests to ensure cargo release in a timely manner.
-
Ensure full compliance of all ramp activities with country policies and tax laws and in compliance with FedEx rules, procedures, practices and rules.

Interact with customs officials and coordinate customs activities with internal staff.

Contact customers to provide information and inform about any additional tax payments.

Keep all customs documentation well organized and filed correctly.

Perform the classification and transfer of cargo to other airlines when required.

Process submission of flight information through customs computer system.

Track cases for different shipments.

Inventory management of loads found in urgent shipping warehouses.

Control of supplies and inventories.

Support load-captain function if required.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in international trade or related.
-
Ability to understand English (450 TOEIC points).
Minimum Experience:
-
Technician/technologist in international trade or business with two years of experience in handling air cargo, procedures, policies, customs laws and regulations and customs clearance processes at the airport.

Analytical thinking, planning and organization skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Driver's license, preferable.

Good administrative skills and computer knowledge.
-
Management of the English language in the customs area.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when/if required.
