Position Summary
H&T Mexico is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to support the development, validation, industrialization, and continuous improvement of electronic controller products for power tools and industrial applications.
The successful candidate will act as a technical bridge between customers, Mexico operations, and global engineering teams, supporting product development activities, BOM management, engineering changes, NPI implementation, product validation, and production ramp-up.
Experience in PCBA manufacturing, controller products, and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and define technical development objectives.
- Support product development activities, product debugging, validation, and sample preparation.
- Create and maintain product documentation, technical reports, and engineering records.
- Manage BOM releases, engineering changes (ECN/ECO), and component substitutions when required.
- Support prototype builds, product verification, testing activities, and pilot production.
- Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from development through mass production.
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical support for Milwaukee and industrial control related customer projects.
- Collaborate with headquarters engineering teams and overseas manufacturing sites to ensure successful project execution.
- Build and maintain professional customer relationships through technical expertise and effective communication.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required to support projects and customer needs.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA, EMS, or electronics manufacturing environments.
- Experience with electronic controller products and product development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with BOM management, product changes, and engineering documentation.
- Familiarity with NPI processes, prototype builds, pilot production, and manufacturing transfer activities.
- Experience supporting product validation, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in PCB Layout, CAM, and common engineering software tools.
- Strong understanding of electronic assemblies, PCBA manufacturing processes, and product industrialization.
- Ability to analyze technical issues and drive effective solutions.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management and engineering change processes.
Language Skills
English proficiency required; able to communicate effectively in technical meetings and written communications.
