About the Role
Are you a seasoned Fire Protection Designer with strong AutoSPRINK expertise looking for a long-term, reliable remote role with a growing US engineering firm?
We are seeking a Senior Fire Sprinkler Designer based in Latin America to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end fire sprinkler system designs, performing hydraulic calculations, creating detailed shop drawings, and collaborating directly with US-based project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Layout & Shop Drawings: Develop detailed, accurate fire sprinkler layout designs and fabrication shop drawings from architectural and MEP blueprints.
- Hydraulic Modeling: Perform precise hydraulic calculations and generate stock listings for material procurement and fabrication.
- Cross-Trade Coordination: Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and engineering trades to resolve design overlaps and spatial conflicts.
- Technical Support: Provide remote technical support during installation phases to assist field teams with design adjustments.
- Project Documentation: Assist project managers with material estimations, submittal preparations, and design approvals.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all system layouts meet applicable fire protection standards, regional building codes, and QA guidelines.
Requirements
- Location: Must be living and working in a Latin American country.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Fire Sprinkler System Design.
- Software Mastery: Minimum of 5 years utilizing AutoSPRINK (experience with HydraCAD or SprinkCAD is a plus).
- Code & Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fire protection standards, building codes, and hydraulic calculations.
- English Proficiency: C1/C2 Advanced English (written and spoken) is required for daily collaboration with US project teams.
- Work Shift: Availability to work standard US business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST).
- Skills: Strong organizational habits with the ability to handle multiple deliverables in a fast-paced setting.
