Hope you are doing well!
My name is Daniel Guzmán and I'm a technical recruiter at SVAM; we are currently searching for a Senior Angular Frontend Engineer. I have included a job description below for you to look over.
Senior Angular Frontend Engineer
Location: Remote from Mexico
Duration: 12 months
Job Summary:
As a Senior Angular Frontend Engineer, you will lead the design and development of the new web user interface for a large-scale MES modernization initiative. This program involves migrating legacy Windows Forms / .NET Framework modules into a modern web architecture based on Angular, .NET 8, microservices, REST APIs, PrimeNG, and TailwindCSS.
This role is critical to transforming complex manufacturing workflows into efficient, intuitive, scalable, and maintainable web experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on expertise in Angular frontend engineering with a practical UX mindset, and can collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, backend developers, and UI/UX designers to translate requirements and designs into reusable, production-ready solutions.
This is not a pure visual design role and not a backend-heavy full stack role. It is a hands-on senior frontend engineering role focused on enterprise UI delivery, usability, consistency, API integration, and front-end standardization across multiple MES modules.
Requirements:
-
Technical Skills:
-
5+ years of experience in web application or frontend development.
- 3+ years of strong hands-on experience with Angular in enterprise-grade applications.
- Strong technical experience with:
- TypeScript
- HTML5
- CSS3 / SCSS
- Responsive web development
- REST API integration
- Experience building modular, reusable, component-based frontend architectures.
- Experience with PrimeNG or similar enterprise UI component libraries.
- Experience with TailwindCSS, Bootstrap, or modern CSS utility/styling frameworks.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles for business applications, especially workflow-driven and data-intensive systems.
- Experience working with designers and translating Figma designs into production-ready interfaces.
- Experience collaborating closely with backend teams in API-driven architectures.
- Experience with Git / GitLab and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and with distributed resources across time zones.
- Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience in MES, manufacturing, industrial, or shop-floor systems.
- Experience migrating legacy desktop or Windows Forms applications to modern web platforms.
- Familiarity with .NET 8, ASP.NET Core APIs, or Microsoft-based full stack environments.
- Experience contributing to or defining design systems, shared component libraries, or Storybook documentation.
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks and test automation practices.
- Understanding of accessibility and usability standards for enterprise applications.
- Experience optimizing Angular applications for performance and maintainability.
- Experience participating in architecture and modernization initiatives for large enterprise systems.
- Advanced English (conversational)
Responsibilities:
-
Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and high-quality web user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, PrimeNG, and TailwindCSS.
- Translate business requirements, legacy Windows Forms behavior, and Figma designs into modern, user-friendly web interfaces.
- Collaborate with the Solution Architect, Technical Leader, Product Owner, Business Analyst, backend developers, and UI/UX designers to define and implement effective user workflows.
- Redesign legacy MES processes for the web, reducing clicks, simplifying navigation, improving operator productivity, and minimizing training effort.
- Build reusable UI components, shared front-end patterns, and implementation standards to accelerate delivery across multiple MES modules.
- Integrate Angular applications with .NET 8 microservices through REST APIs.
- Ensure consistent implementation of design guidelines, UX patterns, responsiveness, error handling, and frontend best practices.
- Participate in the migration and delivery of MES modules.
- Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, including folder structure, shared libraries, component strategy, state handling approach, validation standards, and API integration patterns.
- Identify and resolve usability issues, UI defects, performance bottlenecks, and integration issues.
- Support the definition and implementation of unit tests and integration tests for frontend components and module flows.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for developed frontend functionality, reusable patterns, and implementation guidelines.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and technical review sessions.
- Mentor developers and promote good frontend engineering and UX practices within the team.
- Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve frontend delivery speed, maintainability, consistency, and user experience quality.
