Position Purpose
Supply Chain Analyst focuses the necessary analysis, intervention and coordination required to ensure 100% on-time delivery to customer promise. This is done by ensuring adequate supply of components are available for manufacturing operations to produce the finish goods while meeting inventory targets. Monitor on-hand inventory levels using SAP to ensure the target inventory levels are met and conduct cycle counts. Daily contact with customer service and suppliers to ensure deliveries are made on time and production schedule is being met. Participate in planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. Communicate to Manager, the status of material availability and potential production issues to ensure that personnel, materials, and services are provided as needed.
Main Responsabilities
- Determine plants requirements to work with and provide direction to other Timken facilities on demand needs and requirement dates for Raw Materials.
- Raw Material planning / tracking the incoming material to decide the material flow to accomplish production scheduler in time manner.
- Obtain/maintain all the necessary traceability documentation for procured materials.
- Audit receiving activities - delivery due list, processing deliveries and follow up to make sure all materials receive properly in SAP system.
- Coordinate the plant returns process. This applies to returns from customers and our returns to vendors/suppliers.
- Provide solution and problem solves issues related to inventory in all the supply chain.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in supply chain processes to provide greater efficiency and reduced cost.
- Participate in weekly supply chain meetings and daily TMOS meetings.
- Work together with shipping area to coordinate and give follow to expedite materials for different customers.
- Give follow up to PPAPS with quality and sales to make sure the customer received samples with the correct documentation such as labels, invoices and packing list.
- Follow up the discrepancies for raw materials within the warehouse, logistics and trade analyst.
- Audit the GR process to make sure the raw materials were correctly processed.
- Track down purchase orders/ production orders to facilitate information for internal customers.
- Monitor supply chain trends and activity proactively identifying opportunities to improve operations in the chain.
- Excellent communication with customer service team to coordinate freights for national customers.
- Review and modify customer orders to ensure the demand is covered.
- Validate and prioritize the customer demand according to the need.
- Work together with packaging corporate team to create GPR in SAP when it’s need it.
- Consolidate and give follow up to raw material shipments to ensure component coverage as need it by the planner
