We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join a fast-paced, global team. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of mission-critical database environments while working closely with development and infrastructure teams.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL databases in production environments, with solid troubleshooting, performance tuning, and database administration skills.
Core Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL database environments
- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Monitor database health, availability, and capacity to ensure high performance
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis
- Support database deployments, upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve database architecture and reliability
- Ensure database security, access management, and compliance with best practices
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in production environments.
- Being able to script and automate, as well as administer Azure SQL / On-Prem Microsoft SQL dbs
- Solid understanding of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Experience with backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting mission-critical database environments
- Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting for automation
- Good English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases
- Cloud database experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
- Experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
- Exposure to containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per month
