Resumen: The MRP Buyer plays a key role in maintaining material flow, supporting production schedules, managing supplier performance, and identifying opportunities to improve cost, delivery, and inventory performance. Responsabilidades:

Review and analyze MRP requirements to determine material purchasing needs based on production schedules, inventory levels, lead times, and customer demand.

Create, release, and manage purchase orders according to MRP recommendations and business requirements.

Monitor open purchase orders and ensure materials are delivered according to required dates.

Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding order confirmations, delivery schedules, shortages, expedites, and past-due orders.

Identify potential material shortages and take proactive actions to minimize production disruptions.

Expedite critical materials when necessary to support production requirements.
-
Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
-
Analyze supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, purchasing parameters, and material availability.

Work closely with Production Planning and Scheduling to align purchasing activities with production requirements.

Coordinate with Engineering and Quality teams regarding material changes, specifications, nonconforming materials, and supplier-related issues.

Support the resolution of supplier delivery and quality issues.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance related to on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, and service.

Maintain accurate purchasing information and parameters in the ERP/MRP system.

Participate in inventory reduction and working capital improvement initiatives.

Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain optimization.

Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and material transitions when required.

Provide visibility of critical material risks and communicate potential production impacts to the appropriate stakeholders.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.

Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, material planning, supply chain, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.

Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory management, production planning, and material requirements planning.

Experience managing suppliers and purchase orders in a manufacturing environment.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is preferred.

Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
