Senior SAP HCM / ECP Functional Consultant (AMS) – Mexico Payroll
Role Summary
Senior SAP HCM Functional Consultant to provide L2/L3 AMS support in a highly customized, demanding enterprise environment, with deep expertise in Mexico payroll and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues end‑to‑end with business and ABAP teams.
Key Responsibilities
Own AMS run support (L2/L3): analyze incidents, resolve defects, support minor enhancements, and ensure production stability during payroll cycles.
Perform requirements analysis, prepare specs, and execute unit + regression testing.
Provide functional leadership for Mexico payroll solutions; guide business key users on payroll processes and system behavior.
Troubleshoot and design solutions using strong knowledge of payroll rules & schemas (PCR/schema).
Analyze statutory/legal impacts and compliance needs for MX payroll including taxes, social security, PTU, SDI, CFDI (and related legal processes).
Work closely with the ABAP team; be able to understand ABAP logic and relevant user exits for Social Security/Taxes analysis and solution design.
Collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders in a complex customer setup.
Must‑Have Experience / Skills
6+ years SAP HCM experience including ECP / EC Payroll exposure.
Strong experience supporting Mexican SAP payroll (standard + customized landscapes).
Strong hands‑on capability with schemas, PCRs, payroll rules (analysis + build).
ABAP-aware functional (able to analyze/debug logically; understand exits/enhancements relevant to statutory/tax topics).
Fluent English (business + technical).
University degree (or equivalent).
Nice to Have
SAP Certification in HCM/ECP modules.
Solution Manager knowledge/experience.
Concur exposure.
Experience supporting related HR scope in run mode (e.g., Time Mgmt, pay slip changes, benefits) in complex environments.
