JOB SUMMARY:
As part of the Merchandising team the Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing and E-Commerce is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement of our digital assets, including e-commerce platforms, online advertising, social media engagement, and promotional campaigns. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of digital marketing, automotive parts sales, and the evolving e-commerce ecosystem. This individual is responsible for communicating the current performance of the categories within the industry, the company, and by online outlet to company executives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Strategic Planning and Leadership
· Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for the full profile parts sales, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Works with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize online sales initiatives.
- Establish and manage KPIs for e-commerce marketing campaign performance, including sales throughput, ROI metrics, ad spend traffic, and customer engagement.
2. E-Commerce Multi-Channel Marketing Campaigns
- Lead multi-channel marketing campaigns, including content marketing, social media, influencer partnerships, paid media, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with product, design, and development teams to craft compelling narratives around our automotive parts and digital offerings.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments related to automotive parts sales specific to e-commerce platforms and tools
3. Branding
- Oversee branding, positioning, and messaging strategies to differentiate our products in the market.
- Implement promotional strategies, product bundling, and campaigns to increase sales in a competitive automotive e-commerce market.
- Analyze market and industry e-commerce trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize ad spend, SEO, specialized promotions, and product offerings.
4. Digital Asset Management and Creation
· Work with onsite resources and agency teams to develop a full content stack for immediate deployment into the marketplace ecosystem. Time is of the essence.
· Outline a process which can be replicated across a catalog of several thousand items to produce content on a scale.
· Create an influencer and affiliate plan to drive brand awareness and sales growth in the consumer automotive space (with a first-year focus on marketplace).

5. Digital Marketing and Advertising
- Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, and social media campaigns, to drive traffic to the online store.
- Optimize paid search campaigns, display ads, and other paid media strategies to achieve maximum ROI.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to produce engaging content, promotions, and advertisements that resonate with targeted consumers.
6. Analytics and Reporting
- Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to monitor e-commerce performance, analyze traffic, and optimize conversion funnels.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Track and manage the ROI on all digital marketing and e-commerce campaigns.
7. Agency Management and Development
- Co-lead and develop a 3rd party marketing agency to create digital assets relative to e-commerce advertising, brand building, and traffic generators to drive sales
- Hire and onboard new team members to fill critical roles as the e-commerce business expands.
8. Vendor and Partner Relations
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, technology providers, and internal MPA departments to ensure smooth e-commerce operations.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with external service providers for digital marketing support and ad spend.
9. Compliance and Security
- Ensure the e-commerce advertising and digital assets comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including data privacy laws.
- Oversee the implementation of necessary cybersecurity measures to protect company IP and digital assets.
10. Market and Competitor Analysis
- Stay informed on e-commerce trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies in the automotive sector.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent and five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and spoken. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to work with large amounts of data. Good organizational skills with the ability to track and schedule project timelines, work toward deadlines, and produce results on time. Automotive background or experience an asset but not required. Ability to manage several people across a broad spectrum of strategic roles
