Paystand is hiring a Payments Lead to own, harden, and scale the payments operation for Yaydoo, our flagship product in Mexico. This isn't a "maintenance" role—we are looking for an AI-native operator who can transform a launched capability into a repeatable, scalable, and high-growth business engine.
You will act as the operational architect for our payments platform, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Finance to increase organizational leverage. As we grow, this role is expected to expand into broader LATAM payments initiatives and other Paystand business units.
- Own Payments Operations: Monitor transaction health, exceptions, and reconciliation status. Identify friction points in onboarding and activation to drive growth.
- Scale Through Automation: Build the operating system for scalable payments. Replace manual workarounds with AI-enabled workflows, automated alerts, and robust playbooks.
- Strengthen Controls & Visibility: Build trusted reporting and dashboards. Establish clear operational cadences for issue triage, release readiness, and expansion planning.
- Drive Cross-Functional Success: Work hand-in-hand with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Treasury to ensure payments scale safely and do not become a bottleneck.
- Support Regional Growth: Help define the future team structure and operating models needed to scale payments across LATAM and multi-BU environments.
- Experience: 5+ years in fintech, banking, payment operations, or treasury/infrastructure roles.
- Fluency: Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Operational Rigor: Strong understanding of payment flows, reconciliations, and risk controls. You have a track record of scaling operations after product launch.
- AI-First Mindset: You don't just "monitor" ops—you automate them. You have practical experience using AI, dashboards, or scripting to improve efficiency.
- High Ownership: Ability to drive execution from diagnosis to results in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Nice to Have: Exposure to LATAM payments, B2B SaaS, blockchain/decentralized payments, or experience building control frameworks and executive-ready reporting.
