Job Description
MAINTENANCE CHIEF
The Maintenance Chief is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and maintenance operations of the company’s facilities. This role ensures that the appropriate resources are available to carry out all functions within budget. The position requires strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems, including building maintenance.
Responsibilities:

Understand and comply with all personal and general plant safety rules

Participate in all continuous improvement initiatives

Comply with internal work regulations

Report any unsafe acts and/or conditions observed in the workplace or within the plant through the appropriate channels
-
Maintain control of maintenance activities for key plant equipment essential for operations (electrical substations, pump rooms, utilities, HVAC units, offices, cafeteria, etc.)

Understand and apply all procedures related to the position in order to comply with the Quality Management System requirements relevant to assigned activities
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field

+10 years of experience in a similar position within the metalworking or heavy manufacturing industry

Advanced English (essential)

Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems

Strong knowledge of building/facility maintenance
-
Extensive knowledge of equipment maintenance (compressors, substations, buildings, etc.)

Knowledge of PLCs and drives

Experience in foundry maintenance
-
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
-
Experience in maintenance planning and operations
-
Strong knowledge of equipment and machinery installation
-
Experience using MPS or similar maintenance management systems
-
Proven experience managing personnel
-
Availability to work flexible hours
