The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) contractor to join our growing finance team in a fully remote capacity. This high-impact role reports to the Director of Finance and serves as a key business partner supporting financial planning, performance reporting, strategic decision-making, and operational insight across a rapidly growing multi-state healthcare organization.
This role sits at the intersection of finance, analytics, storytelling, and technology. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building complex financial models, developing executive-level presentations, managing large datasets, and leveraging AI tools to improve financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models and forecasting tools
- Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis with actionable business insights
- Develop scenario planning and sensitivity analyses for strategic initiatives
- Analyze business performance through unit economics, contribution margin analysis, and operational KPIs
- Partner with business leaders to understand assumptions and translate operational performance into financial outcomes
Data Management & Reporting Infrastructure
- Manage the integrity, organization, and accessibility of FP&A datasets
- Build and maintain scalable reporting models and standardized financial reporting packages
- Design KPI dashboards and executive reporting frameworks
- Establish and maintain reporting standards and data governance practices
- Support finance systems integration and data validation efforts
Executive Storytelling & Presentation Development
- Create executive, board, and investor-ready PowerPoint presentations
- Translate complex financial data into clear and compelling narratives
- Develop presentation templates and reporting standards across the finance function
- Support board reporting, investor communications, and strategic planning initiatives
- Deliver visually compelling analyses that drive understanding and action
AI, Automation & Innovation
- Leverage AI tools and automation platforms to improve FP&A efficiency and output quality
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and forecasting processes
- Evaluate emerging AI and analytics tools for adoption within the finance organization
- Continuously improve workflows using a technology-first mindset
- Help build scalable reporting and planning infrastructure to support future growth
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance, CFO, Controller, and operational leaders
- Support leadership teams across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts
- Communicate financial performance clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences
- Operate effectively within a distributed, remote-first team environment
- Participate in meetings and planning sessions aligned with U.S. Eastern Time business hours
Qualifications
Required
- Professional-level English fluency, both written and verbal
- 5–8 years of progressive FP&A or finance experience
- Strong experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities
- Exceptional PowerPoint and data visualization skills
- Strong data management and reporting expertise
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP
- Demonstrated use of AI tools within a professional finance or analytical environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours
- Ability to travel quarterly to the New York area
Preferred
- Experience with Viventium, Ramp, or similar finance and HR systems
- Experience in healthcare, home care, eldercare, or multi-site service organizations
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar reporting tools
- SQL experience
- Exposure to private equity-backed environments
- Consulting, strategy, finance transformation, or operational analytics experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- MBA, CFA, CPA, or other professional designation
