Description:
The Motion+ Controls department supports the Vehicle Controls organization by providing a vehicle simulation environment that enables our controls development teams to develop, test and calibrate their control systems.
This position involves integrating, automating, and testing our proprietary HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) / SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) / MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) environment to verify and validate the controls for driveline and powertrain subsystems with the goal of improving the Design Verification (DV) efficiency and reducing the testing time on prototype vehicles. Additionally, the HIL/SIL integration engineer will also identify and resolve interface issues between software, calibration, and plant models, assisting several internal customers from different organizations within the company. This work will require SIL/HIL applications building, application commissioning, user support/training, testing automation, and scripting
Responsibilities:

Lead the integration of our proprietary HIL/SIL/MIL applications across all applicable powertrain and driveline variants.

4 days on site in GTBC Ford México (Naucalpan, México)

Verify and validate the SIL/HIL applications.

Support end users with issue resolution and the development of new use cases.

Collaborate with the SIL/HIL modeling team to enhance correlation between SIL/HIL data and physical vehicle data.

Develop tools and maintain scripts to expedite the integration and delivery of SIL/HIL applications.

Develop and maintain test cases to improve simulation quality.

Create and update documentation for tools, testing methods, and processes.

Partner with the CI (Continuous Integration) Tools and Infrastructure team to define requirements and architect the Continuous Integration pipelines for SIL/HIL applications.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Programming proficiency in at least one of the following MATLAB, Simulink, or C/C++.

Working experience debugging embedded systems.

Working experience with software versioning tools (Git/GitHub).
Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of software integration experience.

Experience troubleshooting C compiler and linking issues

Working knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink.

Working knowledge of ECU-Test:
-
Working knowledge of configuring environment and pipelines using YAML, and JSON.

Working knowledge of Python

Working knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks.

Familiarity with gasoline and electrified powertrains, driveline, or ADAS subsystems.

Familiarity with software planning and software delivery management tools (i.e., Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.).
