JOB PURPOSE:
The Assistant Merchandiser is responsible for supporting the Sourcing team in daily order management, reporting, data analysis, and vendor performance tracking activities. This role will work closely with sourcing, merchandising, planning, product development, and quality assurance teams to ensure accurate data, timely execution, and visibility across the order lifecycle. The position provides hands-on experience in global sourcing operations within a fast-paced retail environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support order management activities, including order tracking, status updates, and follow-up with vendors.
- Maintain and update sourcing reports, dashboards, and operational trackers.
- Analyze sourcing, production, and shipment data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitor key milestones and support on-time execution of orders.
- Assist with vendor performance tracking and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of operational data within company systems and reporting tools.
- Partner with sourcing, merchandising, planning, product development, and quality teams to gather and validate information.
- Prepare recurring reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support issue resolution by identifying data discrepancies and escalating concerns when needed.
- Assist in documenting processes and identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

JOB HOLDER’S COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, operations, analytics, or a related field.
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in operations, supply chain, or data analysis is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
- Ability to work with large datasets while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Interest in retail, sourcing, supply chain, product development, and operations.
Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal, required.
