Perform identified duties for assigned components (electromechanical devices used on aircraft engines like pump, air valves, filters, heat exchangers, starters) in a multi-functional team environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute, with guidance, the analysis, design, data analysis required to define and support the assigned components that meet business standards, practices, and procedures, and meet the product/program requirements.
- Document technical data that is generated to substantiate the assigned components, that is consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Support the solution of problems of limited scope and complexity.
- Demonstrated solid engineering judgment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree student in the mid to end portion of program. Mechanical, Aeronautical, Mechatronic or Electrical engineering
- Sound understanding of engineering principles relevant to the position
- Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English on any topic with few mistakes (mistakes that do not affect clear understanding).
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish

This student position within the ETIP Fluid Component team offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advanced turbomachinery engineering, supporting the design, analysis, and testing of fluid (electromechanical) components.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Assist senior engineers in the development and analysis of fluid components for turbomachinery applications.
- Conduct literature reviews and gather technical data relevant to fluid dynamics and component performance.
- Support the creation and modification of drawings for fluid components.
- Perform basic simulations and calculations related to fluid flow and heat transfer under guidance.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
- Assist with testing and data acquisition as needed.
Job Qualifications:**
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with a foundational understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or Unigraphics) is a plus.
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) are an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and learn quickly.
