You will serve as a key Solution Architect responsible for defining, shaping, and guiding end‑to‑end Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions within Global Contract Logistics. You will translate complex operational and business requirements into coherent, scalable, and standards‑aligned solution designs that incorporate both functional processes and technical architecture considerations.
- Analyse operational/business requirements and translate them into WMS solution concepts.
- Participate in structured workshops with operations, business, and IT stakeholders to validate needs and gain alignment.
- Contribute to solution design activities including process flows, data flows, and integration points.
- Validate solution outputs during build, configuration, and testing phases to ensure alignment with intended design.
- Stay current with WMS product developments, market trends, and emerging warehouse technologies.
- Translate warehouse operational requirements into detailed functional designs and specifications.
- Produce functional process flows and configuration documentation across inbound, outbound, inventory, VAS, and other workstreams.
- Lead or support functional design workshops to gather and validate functional requirements.
- Ensure integrations (ERP, automation, MHE, reporting) align with functional workflows.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of WMS systems – predominantly Blue Yonder WMS (Discrete).
- 3–5 years’ experience in WMS design or functional consulting roles.
- Proven experience within Contract Logistics or 3PL environments.
- Strong understanding of key warehouse operational processes.
- Skilled in writing functional specifications, process flows, and configuration documents.
- Confident in leading functional design workshops with operations and IT stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of testing lifecycles and defect management.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills; capable of translating business needs into system capabilities.
Desirable
- Exposure to automation/MHE integrations (conveyors, robotics, sortation systems).
- Experience with multi‑site or global WMS implementations.
- WMS product certifications.
