Job description:
Experience will determine the pay range; please, no freelancers or agencies. We are looking for an actual employee to grow with us (daily meetings, etc).
I'm looking for an editor to help me coordinate, edit and schedule content for new youtube channel. I'm looking to release the following content per month:
Podcast of 45-75 minutes long
Long-form videos (8-12 minutes)
Shorts (Reels, tiktoks, youtube short videos from the podcast).
Thumbnails
Upload and schedule videos with proper description, tags, and chapters. Review analytics and schedule videos with proper tags.
Participate in daily meetings with CEO on What was done, what we are working , and what for schedule to be done.
Responsibilities:
- Access the recorded Raw footage via Frame.io and edit to a finished product.
- Utilize 2D animation and motion graphics to enhance video content
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts and storyboards
- Ensure video projects are delivered on time and meet release specifications
- Incorporate typography and graphics to enhance visual appeal
- Create Thumbnail designs for edited videos.
- Assist with photography and film shoots when necessary. (Travel expenses will be paid, at this time very minimal)
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a video editor or similar role editing long form videos, podcasts, and short form videos (Tiktoks, reels, youtube shorts).
- Proficient in video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar programs
- Strong understanding of 2D animation, motion graphics, and visual effects
- Familiarity with typography and graphic design principles
- Experience with photo editing software like Capture One or Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a creative team
Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Previous experience in video editing is required.
