We are looking for a Solution Architect to act as the technical authority across a portfolio of digital products on a shared TypeScript/Node.js stack and AWS platform. You will govern architecture decisions, lead security and resilience improvements, and align teams and stakeholders on technical direction. Apply to help shape scalable, secure systems.
Responsibilities

Assess and document current architecture across the product portfolio, highlighting gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities

Validate architecture decisions across delivery pods to ensure consistency with portfolio-wide standards

Own and drive the security remediation backlog, including authentication, authorization, injection risks, secrets handling, and endpoint exposure
-
Lead resilience hardening by defining and rolling out reliability patterns such as retries, circuit breakers, dead-letter queues, and dependency health checks
-
Drive cloud account separation and restrict non-production access to reduce blast radius and improve governance
-
Provide technical oversight for infrastructure-as-code practices and promote consistent, secure Terraform patterns

Guide CI/CD improvements with security scanning and delivery metrics instrumentation

Advise on event streaming reliability patterns for Kafka-based consumer services

Run architecture walkthroughs during onboarding and act as the primary technical escalation point across pods

Communicate architecture trade-offs clearly and tailor messages to different stakeholder groups

Contribute to engineering standards, ADRs, and runbook documentation

Mentor pod leads on architecture decision-making and technical risk assessment

Use AI coding assistants for spikes, code generation, and security pattern implementation, and review AI output for correctness and security
Requirements

2+ years of solution architecture experience in distributed systems on Amazon Web Services

Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems

Strong stakeholder management skills to align engineering and product leadership
-
Solid project leadership skills across multiple delivery teams or pods
-
Advanced cloud security knowledge covering IAM, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation
-
Strong infrastructure-as-code knowledge using Terraform
-
Strong resilience engineering skills with retries, circuit breakers, and queue-based patterns
-
Strong documentation skills for ADRs, standards, and runbooks
-
Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

Strong communication skills to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have

Experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, or Claude Code

Experience designing systems that include AI/ML components or LLM-based workflows

Experience with Kafka-based consumer services and reliability patterns

Experience with Next.js and NestJS stacks
