ROLE PURPOSE
Own the collection cycle for an assigned client portfolio: review aging, contact customers by phone and email, negotiate realistic
commitments, follow every open item to resolution, maintain accurate QuickBooks records and report performance without constant
supervision.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Review QuickBooks aging and accounts-receivable reports; prioritize overdue, high-value and difficult balances.
- Contact customers by phone and email regarding balances, payment dates, disputes, complaints and missing information.
- Negotiate payment commitments and follow every promise-to-pay, missed commitment and escalation.
- Update QuickBooks and approved trackers with complete same-day notes, amounts, dates and next actions.
- Monitor incoming payments, aging exposure and unresolved risks; escalate according to the approved process.
- Provide concise daily and weekly KPI reporting on activity, collections, commitments and aged balances.
WHAT YOU MUST BRING
- Minimum five years of specialized collections or accounts-receivable experience.
- Strong evidence of phone collections, email collections, payment follow-up and negotiation.
- Practical QuickBooks experience with balances, aging reports or payment tracking.
- Experience handling old, difficult or repeatedly missed balances with persistence and professional judgement.
- Proven ability to meet collection KPIs, manage time independently and complete follow-ups without repeated reminders.
- Accurate documentation, honest communication and stable performance that can be verified through examples or references.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Assigned accounts always have a documented next action; commitments are followed on time; records are complete and accurate;
aged exposure and cash recovery are visible through reliable reporting; problems are moved toward resolution rather than merely
reported.
