The Community Finance Manager (CFM) is responsible for managing the financial operations of a portfolio of community associations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports property managers and boards, and maintains strong client relationships while ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Review monthly financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze general ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements to identify discrepancies or required corrections.
- Review banking and investment activities for assigned properties.
- Provide recommendations and financial insights to improve reporting accuracy.
Portfolio Financial Oversight
- Manage financial records for multiple client associations (portfolio management).
- Ensure financial data accurately reflects the association’s position.
- Support audits and verify documentation for compliance.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary financial partner to property managers and Board representatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Board Treasurers and stakeholders.
- Respond to internal and client inquiries related to financial matters.
Compliance & Administrative Oversight
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax requirements, and regulatory filings.
- Oversee administrative financial tasks such as tax payments, year-end filings, and government submissions.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Provide feedback to property managers on financial performance and reporting improvements.
- Participate in team meetings, set goals, and complete tasks within deadlines.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and excellent work ethics.
- Must be a team player and able to multitask.
- Must have a basic understanding of balance sheets, P&L statements, reading an invoice, and understanding vendor statements.
- Proficiency using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Prior experience using an accounting software (QuickBooks, Yardi, AF).
- Ability to thoroughly explain issues, errors, and resolutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in property management.
- Cinc experience as PMS.
- Timely, RingCentral and Monday.com experience.
Working conditions:
- Full remote work (work anywhere)
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) including the 30 minutes unpaid meal break.
- Acceptance of using a time-tracking device (Hubstaff) installed on your computer while rendering service with The Company
Physical requirements:
- Must have a personal computer/laptop that will be exclusively used while rendering service with The Company
- Must have a back device (back up computer, back up internet, back up electricity) in case of service utility disruption
- Must have a conducive working area away from noise and any disturbances that will affect your service with The Company
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $137.72 - $172.15 per hour
