Across our five international studios, a diverse team of over 100 specialists collaborates in fields ranging from Industrial Design and User Interaction to Studio Engineering and Design Research.
In this position, you will collaborate with senior Studio Engineering mentors to bridge the gap between Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams globally. Your primary objective will be to help develop aesthetically compelling and innovative products that are technically and commercially viable. This role requires a commitment to consistency and a focus on operational excellence to deliver solutions that resonate with our customers.
We look for candidates who stay informed about emerging materials and technologies and are eager to advocate for creative solutions. Maintaining a rigorous standard of perceived quality in every technical discussion is essential.
Utilize Creo to build Aesthetic models and assemblies, using class A surfacing to preserve design integrity during technical transitions.
Act as a liaison to align engineering specifications and marketing needs with the overall design vision.
Support Industrial Designers by providing technical guidance on major layouts, human factors, and packaging.
Solve complex challenges related to mechanics, structure, and manufacturing while ensuring engineering feasibility.
Cultivate professional relationships and networks with internal partners to achieve unified design outcomes.
2 year technical degree and 2 years of relevant experience or 4 year technical degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
Knowledge of diverse plastic production (e.g., blow molding, co-injection, two-shot molding) and steel fabrication (e.g., machined, folded) processes.
Ability to contribute effectively to Studio team critiques of processes and products.
Skill in identifying technically sound solutions that respect the aesthetic vision.
Foundational knowledge of craftsmanship and its relevance to product design.
