About the team/ Offering
Our Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, Tax, and Benefits teams work together to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services. The team supports end-to-end payroll operations, employee payroll cases, internal controls, reconciliations, and continuous process improvements to ensure a reliable and confidential employee experience.
About the Role
Essential Job Functions:
As a Payroll Analyst Tier 2, you will execute, analyze, and support payroll processes of medium to high complexity. You will serve as a functional escalation point for payroll-related cases, ensuring the correct application of policies, internal controls, and regulations while resolving issues that require technical analysis and specialized judgment.
- Execute and support end-to-end payroll processes.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to payments, deductions, taxes, benefits, and special adjustments.
- Review and validate payroll calculations, retroactive payments, off-cycle payrolls, and corrections.
- Handle employee payroll-related cases and provide timely, accurate support.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including HR, Finance, Tax, and Benefits, to ensure proper case resolution.
- Participate in payroll close activities, pre- and post-payroll validations, and basic reconciliations.
- Document cases, processes, and exceptions in accordance with internal controls.
- Identify root causes of recurring payroll issues and propose process improvements.
- Ensure confidential data handling and regulatory compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in payroll processing or analytical HR roles.
- Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, including payments, deductions, taxes, benefits, and paid time off.
- Experience reviewing and validating payroll calculations, retroactive payments, off-cycle payrolls, and payroll corrections.
- Knowledge of payroll and HR management systems.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Ability to document cases, processes, and exceptions in accordance with internal controls.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, organization, and priority management skills.
- Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to collaborate with HR, Finance, Tax, Benefits, and other internal teams.
Other Qualifications:
- Experience supporting payroll close activities, pre- and post-payroll validations, and basic reconciliations is preferred.
- Ability to identify root causes of recurring payroll issues and recommend process improvements is preferred.
- Strong confidentiality, professional ethics, collaborative mindset, and results orientation are preferred.
- Experience ensuring confidential data handling and regulatory compliance in payroll or HR environments is preferred.
