English-Language Podcast Host / Cultural Commentator
We are casting articulate, engaging English speakers to participate in an in-person arts and entertainment podcast recorded in Mexico City.
We are seeking potential recurring hosts and rotating on-camera contributors who can participate in intelligent, entertaining conversations about subjects including film, television, literature, theater, visual art, music, comedy, media, history, design and contemporary culture.
The ideal candidate combines strong spoken English with curiosity, personality and the ability to connect with other people on camera. Previous professional hosting experience is welcome but not required. We are equally interested in thoughtful newcomers who are naturally conversational, culturally informed and comfortable expressing an original point of view.
Responsibilities
- Participate in recorded English-language podcast conversations.
- Research or prepare selected subjects before recording when required.
- Express ideas clearly and naturally on camera.
- Listen carefully and respond thoughtfully to other participants.
- Ask useful follow-up questions and help sustain an engaging conversation.
- Contribute cultural recommendations, observations and episode ideas.
- Maintain professional communication and arrive prepared and on time.
- Participate in promotional photography or short social-media clips connected to the podcast when agreed in advance.
Required qualifications
- Advanced, fluent or near-native spoken English.
- Based in Mexico City or able to attend recordings in person.
- Comfortable appearing and speaking on camera.
- Strong interest in arts, entertainment and culture.
- Ability to discuss ideas conversationally rather than delivering memorized speeches.
- Dependable availability and professional communication.
- Respectful when discussing different tastes, opinions and backgrounds.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of film, television, literature, theater, art, music, comedy, media, history or another relevant cultural field.
- Experience in podcasting, broadcasting, acting, journalism, teaching, public speaking, comedy or content creation.
- Natural humor, wit or comedic timing.
- Ability to make complex ideas accessible and entertaining.
- Experience participating in group discussions or interviews.
Formal academic credentials are not required. We value cultural curiosity, communication skills, originality and on-camera presence.

Selection process
Selected applicants will first participate in a brief English-language interview. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to record several short, one-way video responses to specific podcast-style questions. Finalists may be invited to an in-person studio chemistry test.
No professional demo reel is required. Applicants may include links to relevant podcasts, videos, acting work, public speaking, interviews or other media appearances.
Indeed currently advises employers to explain the purpose and format of video screening clearly—for example, describing it as several one-way answers to specified interview questions—rather than vaguely requesting an introductory video.
