PLG is a personal injury law firm dedicated to helping clients recover from accidents and injuries caused by others' negligence. We're looking for an organized, client-focused Case Manager to help keep our cases moving efficiently from intake through resolution.
Position Summary
The Personal Injury Case Manager is responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury matters from the point of intake through treatment, demand, and settlement (or referral to litigation). This role is the primary point of contact for clients throughout the life of their case, working closely with attorneys, medical providers, and insurance adjusters to keep cases progressing and clients informed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from intake through settlement or litigation referral
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular case status updates
- Gather and organize medical records, bills, and treatment documentation
- Track client treatment progress and follow up with medical providers as needed
- Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding claims, liens, and case status
- Prepare and assemble demand packages for attorney review
- Negotiate medical liens and bills as directed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files in the firm's case management system
- Identify cases that are ready for demand, settlement, or litigation and flag them for attorney review
- Track statute of limitations and other critical case deadlines
- Coordinate with paralegals and attorneys to ensure a smooth handoff if a case proceeds to litigation
- Maintain professionalism and empathy when communicating with clients, many of whom are dealing with injury and stress
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a case manager, paralegal, or similar role in a personal injury or litigation practice in California.
- Strong understanding of the personal injury case lifecycle (treatment, demand, negotiation, settlement)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to read and summarize medical records
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize competing deadlines
- Proficiency with case management software Clio, Adobe and Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Experience negotiating medical liens
- Prior experience working directly with insurance adjusters

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per month
