The HR Generalist will work across all HR functions in the Monterrey, Mexico office. This includes HR policy development, administration and compliance, employee hiring, onboarding, performance management, termination, records maintenance, employee labour relations and communication, rewards and recognition program coordination and/or administration, immigration services, business partnership for local manager, assisting with the recruiting, talent and organizational performance management, and HRIS management. The position supports managers and employees locally, and will have regular collaboration with global managers and counterparts.
The HR Generalist serve as Mexico employee relations point of contact for business partners outside of region. Will be responsible for managing and resolving both routine and complex employee relations issues. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance in each region. Provides performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Key Responsibilities.

Handles routine and complex employment relations issues, conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations as required. Collaborating with regional P&C team as needed.

Builds relationships with key leaders, understanding their individual business requirements and strategies; providing coaching, advice and support relation to organizational change, employment relations and talent management.

Provides P&C policy guidance and interpretation.

Develops and executes contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.

Support employee engagement processes, analysis and annual action planning.

Ensure compliance to the end-to-end associate on boarding and exit process.

Maintain P&C or associate databases / files and reports as required (both physical and electronic).

Manage and oversee recruitment activities, providing a high level of support to local hiring managers, through defining standard work/best practice in all hiring activities.

Monitor, measure and manage key P&C metrics and KPI’s; to meet or exceed target. Problem solve and implement countermeasures to close gaps and drive improvements in HR metrics.

Complete other ad hoc P&C tasks and projects.

Handle highly confidential associate employment relations and payroll information.

Owner of Legal Powers for Labor Relationships within the Local Labor Board (Junta Local de Conciliación y Arbitraje).

Manages legal and labor requirements on demand.

WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)

Solid HR experience including experience resolving complex employee relations issues for Mexico.

Advanced English proficiency.

Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Passionate customer service orientation with extensive experience in managing multiple stakeholders.
