The Tax Analyst is responsible for supporting the company's tax compliance and reporting obligations in Mexico, with a primary focus on indirect taxes (VAT, excise taxes, etc.) at the local, federal, and international levels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Mexican tax law, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. A working knowledge of direct taxes is also required.

Indirect Tax Compliance:

Prepare and file all required Mexican indirect tax returns (e.g., VAT) accurately and timely, including monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.

Reconcile VAT accounts and ensure accurate reporting of input and output VAT.

Monitor changes in Mexican indirect tax laws and regulations and assess the impact on the company.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT rules related to cross-border transactions, including imports, exports, and services.

Assist with indirect tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.

Ensure compliance with e-invoicing requirements (CFDI) and other digital tax regulations.

Direct Tax Support:

Assist with the preparation of the annual income tax return and related schedules.

Support the calculation of estimated income tax payments.

Maintain a working knowledge of Mexican income tax law.

Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

+3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on Mexican indirect taxes.

Experience with Mexican tax compliance software and e-invoicing systems.
