The Role
You are the first voice a prospect hears, and the reason they agree to a call. You take a steady flow of pre-qualified business-owner leads and turn them into booked discovery appointments. You're not building lists and you're not closing deals — you're doing the highest-skill part of the front end: asking the right questions, listening for what actually matters to that owner, working through their objections, and locking in the appointment.
The leads are warm. The offer converts. Your job is to make the conversation land.
What You'll Do
- Make a high volume of outbound calls to warm, pre-loaded business-owner leads (we supply the leads; you supply the conversations)
- Open with rapport — sound like a real person, not a script, and earn trust fast with busy owners who've heard every pitch
- Ask smart, strategic questions — uncover what the owner actually cares about and where they're feeling friction, instead of pitching at them
- Listen actively — really hear what they say (and what they don't), and respond to the real concern, not a canned line
- Overcome objections with confidence — handle "I'm busy," "send me info," "we're fine," and "what's this about" calmly and persuasively, and keep the conversation moving toward the booking
- Qualify honestly — confirm fit with a few well-placed questions so the appointments you set actually close
- Book discovery calls onto the calendar — and confirm them so they show up
- Follow up consistently and on time — no lead falls through the cracks
- Hit and beat weekly targets for conversations and booked, showed appointments
- Bring real intel back from the front line so we keep sharpening the questions and the approach
What We're Looking For
- Fluent, professional English — near-native, neutral-accent English; you sound clear, polished, and credible to U.S. business owners and put them at ease from the first sentence (this is non-negotiable for the role)
- Strong questioning skills — you know how to ask the question that opens someone up, not just the one that gets a yes/no
- Active listening — you catch the real concern behind the words and respond to it
- Objection handling — you stay composed and persuasive when someone pushes back, and you don't take "no" personally
- Rapport and warmth — people trust you quickly and enjoy talking to you
- Resilience — you can hear 30 no's and bring full energy to the 31st call
- A track record in outbound calling, appointment setting, sales development (SDR/BDR), inside sales, or high-end telemarketing — or the raw talent and drive to get there fast
- Organized and dependable — you follow up on time and keep your day on track
- Self-managed — reliable and productive in a remote environment without someone watching over you
- A quiet workspace, reliable high-speed internet, and a quality headset
Bonus Points (Not Required)
- Comfortable also handling Spanish-speaking U.S. business owners — opens up an extra market
- Experience selling to or working with U.S. local/small business owners (home services, trades, med spas, restaurants, auto, etc.)
