Lead DevOps Engineer
At Globant, we are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a global technology team and drive the design, automation, and optimization of enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
This role is ideal for a senior technical leader who combines strong hands-on DevOps expertise with experience in DevSecOps, Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure as Code, and SRE practices . You will help shape technical strategy, lead engineering initiatives, mentor teams, and explore emerging technologies such as Generative AI.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud platforms.
- Define and promote best practices across DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, and infrastructure automation .
- Architect and manage cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP .
- Drive the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Work with technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless platforms .
- Support platform reliability through monitoring, incident management, performance optimization, and SRE practices.
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance across cloud and engineering environments.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solutions and technical roadmaps.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional initiatives.
- Explore and integrate Generative AI capabilities to improve engineering automation and software delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, or Platform Engineering.
- 3+ years in a technical leadership role .
- 2+ years of exposure to AI and Generative AI technologies .
- Strong experience supporting enterprise-scale applications and infrastructure.
- Advanced scripting skills with Bash and/or Python .
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code , including module development and maintenance.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions .
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP .
- Experience with SRE practices, monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization .
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience with .NET or Java development environments.
- Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications such as AWS, Azure, or DevOps certifications .
Experience implementing AI-driven automation within engineering or DevOps workflows.
