The role combines strategic media planning, audience and data activation, performance marketing, creator-led media, measurement, and agency leadership. The Associate Manager will work across markets and cross-functional teams to maximize the effectiveness of Mattel's media investment while continuously identifying opportunities to improve how data, technology, platforms, and emerging media capabilities drive business results.
What You’ll Do
-
Develop and execute full-funnel, audience-led media strategies aligned with brand, consumer, and business objectives across LATAM.
-
Lead integrated media planning across digital, social, video, programmatic, creator-led, performance, and traditional channels, ensuring the right channel, audience, investment, and KPI strategy.
-
Develop data-driven audience strategies, leveraging first-party, platform, publisher, and media ecosystem data for targeting, retargeting, personalization, suppression, and frequency management.
-
Lead performance media strategies designed to drive measurable consumer actions, including qualified traffic, key website events, engagement, and first-party-data/lead generation.
-
Develop creator-led and social amplification strategies, leveraging paid media and platform capabilities to maximize the impact of creator content.
-
Drive measurement, optimization, and experimentation, translating media performance and test results into recommendations for future investment decisions.
-
Lead media agencies and external partners, challenging recommendations and ensuring strategic quality, executional excellence, innovation, and accountability.
-
Partner with Brand Marketing, Digital, CRM, E-commerce, and other teams to create integrated consumer experiences and connect media with broader business priorities.
-
Manage media investment, forecasting, pacing, and financial processes, continuously identifying opportunities to improve media effectiveness and efficiency.
-
Proactively identify and test emerging platforms, technologies, formats, partnerships, and media capabilities relevant to Mattel's consumers and brands.
-
Communicate media strategies, performance, learnings, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders while managing multiple markets and workstreams across LATAM.
Qualifications
Who We’re Looking For
-
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Economics, Finance, or related field.
-
5+ years of experience in media, digital marketing, advertising, integrated marketing, or a related discipline, preferably with experience at a leading advertiser and/or media agency.
-
Strong understanding of full-funnel media strategy and planning, including the role of different channels across awareness, consideration, engagement, traffic, and conversion.
-
Hands-on or strong working knowledge of digital and programmatic media ecosystems, including platforms such as DV360, Amazon DSP, Meta, Google, TikTok, or comparable platforms.
-
Experience leveraging audience and platform data for audience creation, targeting, retargeting, suppression, and frequency management.
-
Experience managing performance-oriented campaigns and optimizing toward measurable actions such as website visits, key events, engagement, lead generation, or other conversion objectives.
-
Experience developing or managing paid creator/influencer amplification campaigns and familiarity with creator-media solutions across major social/video platforms.
-
Experience managing media agencies and external partners, with the ability to evaluate and challenge strategic recommendations, not only coordinate execution.

-
Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple brands, markets, campaigns, and stakeholders simultaneously.
