As a Lead Resource Planning Specialist at ICON, you will be responsible for overseeing resource forecasting, allocation, and utilisation to support efficient delivery of clinical projects.
What You Will Do:
You will manage day-to-day talent acquisition and recruitment activities, supporting your team to deliver quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading resource planning activities, including demand forecasting, capacity analysis, and allocation across assigned functions or portfolios.

Collaborating with project and functional leaders to understand resource needs, skills requirements, and timelines.

Monitoring utilisation and workload balance, identifying gaps or bottlenecks, and recommending corrective actions.

Maintaining accurate resource data and reports in planning tools and systems to support decision-making.

Supporting scenario planning and optimisation to respond to changing portfolio priorities and new opportunities.

Providing guidance and mentorship to resource planning colleagues, promoting best practices and consistency.
Your Profile:
You will have solid talent acquisition and recruitment experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
Required qualifications and experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, operations, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Strong experience in resource planning, workforce management, or portfolio operations within a CRO, pharma, or similar environment.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with experience working with planning tools and large datasets.

Ability to balance competing priorities and provide clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decisions in a matrixed organisation.

Detail-oriented and organised, with a continuous improvement mindset and focus on transparency and fairness in resourcing.
