CUAM Mérida is seeking a passionate and highly qualified English Teacher to join our academic team. We are looking for an educator who is committed to academic excellence, student-centered learning, and the development of global competencies in middle and high school students.
The ideal candidate will create engaging learning experiences that strengthen students' communication skills while fostering critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and confidence in the English language.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and deliver engaging English lessons for middle and high school students.
- Develop innovative teaching strategies that support diverse learning styles.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Apply effective classroom management and assertive discipline techniques.
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Integrate technology and digital learning tools into classroom instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues on academic projects and school initiatives.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and institutional events.
- Demonstrate leadership, optimism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English Language Teaching, English Literature, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
- English proficiency at C1/C2 level, supported by an official certification such as CELTA, IELTS, CAE, CPE, or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably at the middle or high school level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for teaching, educational innovation, and lifelong learning.
- Willingness to conduct educational research and continuously improve teaching practices.
