Application Engineer
- Responsible for the development and validation of steering wheel products pre and post-SoP
- Lead, execute and support various project activities during technical phases of awarded programs.
- This role will require collaboration with all CFT team members (divisional and global), interface with OEM’s, internal supporting groups, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers.
- Creating / Validating Product Design for Steering Wheel and Driver Airbag
- Working with the customer to negotiate styling vs. Autoliv standard design/processes.
- Working with global team members to locally validate and launch global programs.
- Balance between easy to manufacture and meeting customer needs.
- Understanding customer specifications and ensuring product is designed/validated accordingly.
- Driving the design to meet 1P1P expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Advanced English skills
- Highly desired previous experience with StW, DAB, Automotive Interior Class A Component Design, Product Design, CAE
- Ability to understand manufacturing needs e.g., Die cast, RIM, Injection Molding, Stamping, Assy
- Interpreting CAE Results
- Problem Solving Skills
