Position Overview
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for ensuring the company procures and imports products at the best possible cost, within the required timelines, and with complete visibility throughout the supply chain. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate product costing to support profitability decisions while overseeing domestic and international purchasing, import operations, logistics coordination, documentation compliance, and supplier cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities

Develop purchasing plans based on sales forecasts and inventory requirements.

Manage the end-to-end import process with international suppliers, customs brokers, and logistics providers.

Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and commercial agreements with suppliers.

Identify, evaluate, and develop domestic and international suppliers.

Prepare and maintain accurate product cost calculations.

Implement cost reduction initiatives and document achieved savings.

Centralize domestic and international purchasing activities across the organization.

Coordinate national and international logistics operations.

Maintain complete physical and digital documentation for import and export transactions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure purchasing processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) or a related field.

Advanced Business/Technical English (required).

Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing and import operations within the chemical, plastics, rubber, or manufacturing industries.

Strong knowledge of international trade and import procedures.

Experience in product costing and cost analysis.

Proven experience negotiating with domestic and international suppliers.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience with CONTPAQi is a plus.
