About the role
The Release Manager / Scrum Master is responsible for coordinating Agile delivery execution and release management for CMES applications, ensuring alignment between development, testing, and deployment activities.
This role acts as a key orchestrator of sprint execution and release cycles, driving structured Agile ceremonies, managing backlogs, and enabling smooth and predictable releases across all environments, while maintaining clear visibility through structured documentation and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Release Manager / Scrum Master, you’ll be responsible for:
Facilitating Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and ensuring adherence to Scrum practices
Managing backlog and user stories, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business needs
Tracking sprint progress, removing blockers, and driving delivery commitments
Planning and coordinating releases across environments (Development, QA, Pre-Production, Production)
Ensuring release readiness through validation, quality gates, and coordination with cross-functional teams
Managing deployments, version control, dependencies, and rollback strategies
Preparing and communicating release documentation, including release notes, enhancements, and risks
Acting as the main coordination point across development, QA, support, and business stakeholders
Identifying risks and escalations, ensuring mitigation plans are in place
Tracking Agile and delivery metrics (velocity, completion rate, release predictability)
Driving continuous improvement in Agile execution, release processes, and team collaboration
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
8+ years of experience leading and coordinating Agile cross-functional teams
Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong experience with Agile frameworks and tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)
Strong tracking, reporting, and documentation skills
Knowledge of release management and version control processes
Ability to manage stakeholders across technical and business teams
Strong understanding of testing principles (Unit, SIT, UAT, regression, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Advanced English (written and verbal)
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
Experience in MES / Manufacturing digital systems
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Experience managing complex, multi-site deployments
Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, MES integrations)
