The Role
The Software Engineer will support, maintain and enhance business-critical applications within the Tango application portfolio. The role combines hands-on .NET development with production support, technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement in a managed application services environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide L3 support for Tango-related applications and associated .NET components in production environments.
- Analyze and resolve incidents, defects and performance issues; complete root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Develop, enhance, test and maintain applications using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core and .NET 6+.
- Build and maintain ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core and RESTful Web API services.
- Support Windows Services, background processing and scheduled application components.
- Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, views and database objects.
- Participate in BAU support, application enhancements, release activities and change implementation.
- Follow ITSM processes for incident, problem and change management using ServiceNow or an equivalent platform.
- Maintain technical documentation, support procedures and knowledge articles, and collaborate with cross-functional and global delivery teams.
Who You Are
REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Strong proficiency in C# and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including Visual Studio and/or Visual Studio Code.
- Hands-on experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core and .NET 6+.
- Experience developing ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core and RESTful Web APIs.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, views, relational databases and performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of XML and JSON data formats.
- Strong production support, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or equivalent.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Exposure to ETL and reporting tools, including SSIS and SSRS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, for example Jenkins or Azure DevOps, and source-control practices.
- Exposure to Docker, containerized deployments and IIS configuration/troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Experience supporting the Tango application ecosystem or comparable enterprise application portfolios
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in .NET software development and application support within a BAU and enhancement delivery model.
- Ability to manage priorities, communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders, and work effectively in a global delivery environment.

- Professional working proficiency in English, written and spoken.
