Bloom Works is a growing landscaping and outdoor construction company serving commercial, government, and high-end residential clients throughout Los Angeles. We design, build, and maintain exceptional outdoor environments while leveraging technology, systems, and continuous improvement to deliver outstanding results.
We are seeking a Fractional CFO who will work directly with ownership to improve financial performance, forecasting, accountability, and operational efficiency throughout the company. This individual will help leadership make informed decisions by providing clear financial insights, developing key performance indicators, and supporting long-term planning.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy
- Work directly with ownership to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Analyze company performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Assist leadership in setting financial goals and tracking progress toward company objectives.
- Provide financial guidance to support company growth and long-term stability.
KPI Development & Department Scorecards
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for leadership.
- Create and track scorecards for departments including Sales, Project Management, Operations, Maintenance, and Administration.
- Monitor performance trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Help establish accountability systems that align departments with company goals.
Cash Flow Forecasting & Budgeting
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare and update company budgets.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Identify potential cash flow challenges and recommend solutions.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports to leadership.
- Maintain reporting dashboards and performance metrics.
- Analyze financial results and provide actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate with the bookkeeping team to ensure accurate financial information.
Administrative Support
- Assist with company compliance, registrations, licenses, and insurance-related tasks.
- Support implementation of software systems and reporting tools.
- Help improve administrative processes and operational efficiency.
- Provide general administrative support to ownership and leadership as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in financial leadership, accounting, finance, business analysis, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Experience developing KPIs, scorecards, and performance dashboards.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
- Experience working with construction, landscaping, service-based, or contracting businesses is a plus.

Schedule
Part-Time (Minimum 22 Hours Per Week)
Monday–Friday
- 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM PST
- Available for communication and support from 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM PST as needed.
Saturday
- 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM PST
- Available for communication and support from 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM PST as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $16,000 – $21,000 MXN per 4-week period (paid bi-weekly)
- Paid Vacation: 2 weeks annually
