A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be part of the Performance and Analytics department, providing system-level guidance towards innovative solutions for aero-derivative gas turbines. As a Performance Specialist, you will contribute to the design, development, and support of robust, flexible, and highly efficient gas turbines by developing and operating software and thermodynamic models, monitoring and analyzing engine tests, and trending performance results. You will participate in troubleshooting and failure investigations, support existing customers, and propose solutions to reduce the environmental impact of our products through cycle changes and the use of alternative fuels. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will leverage commercial and proprietary tools to analyze operational data throughout the product lifecycle.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Study customer needs, existing analytical work, and best practice guidance to determine the most effective solutions through software and model development.
- Develop and apply analytical models to solve complex gas turbine performance and operability challenges.
- Identify opportunities to leverage previous knowledge and lessons learned to improve technical solutions.
- Help understand and quantify project and technical risks while validating proposed solutions.
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret engine test data and operational performance trends.
- Represent the Performance & Analytics function and provide recommendations to Project Managers, Product Managers, Technical Support Services, and the Engineering community.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another discipline relevant to Performance Engineering.
- Experience in thermodynamics, gas turbine performance, systems engineering principles, and/or performance analysis. Applied gas turbine performance and operability experience is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Interest in software development, gas turbine technology, and innovation in support of the energy transition.

The Performance & Analytics team is responsible for providing expertise in gas turbine performance, operability, and system-level analysis. The team collaborates closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Support organizations to deliver innovative and efficient solutions that support the reliability, sustainability, and continuous improvement of Siemens Energy products.
