Responsibilities
- Plan and order material via SAP or other tools as needed.
- First line of contact with supply base to assure on time delivery.
- Organize and facilitate meetings with vendors and supporting job functions.
- Follow up with suppliers on lead-time of delivery and freight to assure production flow.
- Management and review of supply progresses as well as inventory KPI & Suppliers Logistics Performance analysis vs targets
- Manage inventory levels via MRP settings to meet ITR targets.
- Communicate and escalate expedited freight topics with logistics management team.
- Improve delivery performance inbound, inventory turn rates & logistics costs
- Introduction and monitoring of continuous improvement projects in the supply chain area
- Help identify, research and correct causes of inventory discrepancies and work to reduce excess inventory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field
- +3 years of experience in automotive industry & logistics
- Direct experimentation on SAP MM
- Negotiation skills to reach to optimum results with the global and local suppliers
- High stress management capability
- Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Software, ERP systems)
- Broad knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within supply chain planning.
Experience with demand forecasting and/or planning methods.
