Job Overview
We are a Chinese IDC full-chain service company with self-operated data center located in Querétaro, Mexico. We are now hiring an on-site Server Hardware After-sales Engineer to be responsible for server hardware maintenance, troubleshooting and regular equipment inspection onsite in our data center.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot server hardware failures and complete component replacement, covering motherboard, CPU, memory, hard drive, RAID card, backplane, GPU and other server accessories.
- Conduct specialized fault diagnosis, performance tuning and regular hardware maintenance for GPU-equipped servers.
- Support customers with daily on-site hardware inspection, equipment maintenance and hardware optimization of rack servers.
- Archive maintenance records, compile operation & maintenance documents, take part in optimization of maintenance SOP and deliver internal technical training for team members.
Job Requirements
- Solid understanding of server hardware architecture and the interaction logic between various hardware components.
- Skilled in server fault troubleshooting; capable of independently diagnosing and fixing common hardware malfunctions.
- Proficient in Linux basic commands; able to collect and analyze system logs independently for fault assistance.
- Expertise in BIOS and BMC configuration; familiar with setup and administration of SAS and RAID cards.
- Master server firmware upgrade and FRU information refresh operations for server motherboards.
- Experienced in server hardware modification, including GPU installation, configuration and compatibility debugging.
- Familiar with GPU server structure, GPU driver deployment, runtime monitoring and regular GPU hardware issue resolution.
- Able to draft and update O&M documents, with practical experience in process improvement and internal technical training.
- Good verbal and written communication in both Chinese and English for daily cross-regional technical coordination.
Mandatory Pre-employment Requirements
- Mandarin Chinese speaking is compulsory; Chinese citizens are preferred.
- Candidates must hold valid legal document to work in Mexico: temporary/permanent resident permit or work-authorized visa. Ordinary tourist FMM visa without work qualification cannot be hired.
Compensation & BenefitsMonthly base salary: MXN 36,000 – 44,000 (target base MXN 40,000 per month)
