Position Summary
The Plant Controller acts as the key finance business partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team, driving financial transparency, operational performance, and cost competitiveness.
The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial governance, effective cost management, and profitable growth while supporting operational decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Business Partner
- Act as trusted finance partner to plant leadership and support operational decision-making.
- Translate operational KPIs into financial impact and drive actions to improve profitability,
productivity, inventory performance, and cash generation.
- Support business cases, investments, and cost improvement initiatives across the plant.
Plant Controlling & Performance Management
- Own month-end closing, reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the plant which is part of Maquiladora legal entity.
- Actively participate in the daily/weekly SQDC meetings with the plant team and drive the
commitment and ownership culture to meet the financial targets.
- Lead cost controlling activities including product costing, standard costing, inventory valuation, cost center controlling, and profitability analysis.
- Identify risks and opportunities, define corrective actions, and monitor execution together with operations leadership.
- Ensure timely and transparent reporting of financial and operational performance indicators. Governance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Safeguard company assets through strong controls in inventory, costing, and capital expenditure processes.
- Support audits and proactively manage operational and financial risks.
