Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Languages, Education, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience teaching Spanish.
- Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Experience creating lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Ability to personalize instruction for different learning styles and goals.
- Passion for teaching students of different ages, including children ages 4+.
- Professional, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional home teaching environment.
- Availability to work weekdays and Saturdays (Sundays off).
Schedule Requirements
Our students are primarily available during afternoon and evening hours, so availability during our peak teaching hours is essential.
We are especially looking for candidates who can consistently work approximately:
Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM–8:00 PM Mexico City time
with additional availability on Saturdays.

This position begins as a part-time role (22 hours per week), with the goal of growing into a full-time position (40 hours per week) as your student load and responsibilities increase.
We are looking for instructors who are interested in building a long-term career with Spoken Learning, not simply picking up a few teaching hours.

Compensation & Benefits
- Guaranteed base compensation starting at $7,000 MXN per month for the part-time position.
- Monthly performance bonuses based on class load of up to $3,500 MXN.
- Additional $1,000 MXN monthly bonus for instructors who teach both English and Spanish.
- Full-time earning potential of up to $18,500 MXN per month when combining base compensation and available monthly incentives.
- Annual performance bonus of up to 10% of your annual salary, with potential annual compensation of up to $241,980 MXN for qualifying full-time instructors.

Your Role
As a Spanish Instructor at Spoken Learning, you will provide personalized, engaging, and high-quality online instruction tailored to each student's individual goals.
You will begin with a 22-hour part-time schedule. As your class load grows and additional opportunities become available, you will have the opportunity to transition to full-time employment (40 hours per week) and teach up to 30 lessons per week.
You will also work closely with our academic team to continuously improve the learning experience we provide to our students.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging, personalized online Spanish lessons.
- Build strong professional relationships with students.
- Adapt instruction to students' proficiency levels, goals, interests, and learning styles.
- Prepare thoughtful, well-structured lessons rather than relying solely on pre-designed materials.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and digital resources to maximize student engagement.
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson reports, and student assessments.
- Create engaging instructional materials and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with the academic team on curriculum development and educational projects.
- Contribute to special initiatives such as educational resources, books, syllabi, social media content, and course development.
- Represent Spoken Learning professionally in every interaction with students and team members.
Our Selection Process

Candidates who move forward will be asked to demonstrate their teaching skills through a 10–15 minute demo lesson.
