Summary Description:
The PPM is responsible for liaising with clients and printers, providing internal instruction to modify artwork so that the final print will meet (as close as possible) with the original design intent, across multiple packaging types and print processes.
What you’ll be doing:
Relationship
-
Reference applicable Trident generic and customer specific standard working practices (SWP)
-
Assess new designs, liaising with the client, printer and tooling supplier to agree artwork changes/separation approach, based on the chosen print process. Specification of tooling requirements to be outlined (if required).

Lead print production meetings using print knowledge to advise designer/client what is achievable at final print.

Work in conjunction with all other areas of the business to ensure that artwork is generated in the most effective and timely manner possible.

Considers and facilitate the most appropriate communication channels internally and externally; face to face, conference call, phone, email etc. to strengthen and maintain the client relationship.
Financials

Consider the impact of commercial decisions, highlighting ways to optimise profitability and contribution level to the Client Service Manager
People

Coach, mentor and support the development of new members of the PPM team, in accordance with client account requirements and applicable SWP.

Support and develop Artworkers with technical instructions to apply reprographics/colour separation with minimum PPM input.
Process

Support the Management team through the investigation of process improvements & print related quality investigations.

Maintain client brand targets, colour standards, print specifications (in Zen), printer qualifications & PPM technical records

Provide clear and accurate post-print analysis (both measured & visual)

Utilise technology available within Trident (i.e Color Cert & Spectrophotometer) to support the review of print materials and simplify the PPM role.
