Education: Industrial and Systems Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or related field
Languages: Advanced English, capable of holding business conversations (Mandatory requirement)
Experience: 5 years or more in the automotive industry in metal stamping processes (progressive, manual, and mechanical presses ranging from 75 to 2300 tons) and welding assembly
APQP, PPAP, Quality Systems, blueprint reading, measuring instruments, metal-mechanical manufacturing processes, GD&T, Microsoft Office, SPC, materials technology, material standards, personnel management. Knowledge of PDCA and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Ensures strict compliance with Safety regulations; acts as the Safety representative during the second shift in emergencies as the brigade leader
- Ensures personnel comply with internal work regulations and policies
- Resolves or reports irregularities with unionized workers, maintaining respectful and professional interactions
- Verifies compliance with the production schedule to meet efficiency targets and model changeovers, ensuring proper reporting in the ERP system
- Ensures production scanning, IBI reporting, and scrap control
- Trains the team and manages the skills matrix for workforce assignment at workstations
- Maintains constant communication with the Shipping department to ensure 100% on-time windows or report risks/anomalies
- Maintains continuous communication with Maintenance to identify issues and execute corrective action plans
- Coordinates shift handover meetings
- Follows up on maintenance program compliance and work orders
- Generates purchase requisitions for tools and devices to ensure QDC and TPM performance
- Coordinates and supervises production personnel training to ensure compliance with quality systems and operations
- Monitors KPIs: OEE, Efficiency, Downtime, Tool Change
- Ensures compliance with corrective actions and PDCA stages; maintains clear communication with Quality for determination and disposition of non-conforming product and immediate actions
- Conducts TPM meetings to coordinate and track actions with the opposite shift
