Description: The Supply Chain and Engineering team is seeking to appoint an attorney with 5+ years’ legal experience as part to support the Global Supply Chain and Engineering Legal Team.
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide input into and shape strategic decisions that impact Supply Chain and Engineering, with an emphasis on support to the leadership team of Supply Chain and Engineering in the Growth Markets and a subset of Supply Chain and Engineering 's global Solutions Leads;

Assess new Supply Chain and Engineering solutions and guide them to market in a legally compliant manner with appropriate risk mitigations (contractual, operational, technical);

Conduct internal and external legal research and fact‑gathering related to new and innovative technologies, applicable laws and regulations, and their impact on the business;

Develop guidance, guardrails and playbooks to enable Accenture’s Sales & Delivery Legal team to efficiently support client transactions;
-
Team with Accenture’s regulatory and compliance counsel to synthesize and apply regulatory and compliance advice, including anticipating the impact of regulatory changes on the Supply Chain and Engineering business;

Play a key role in escalations and, in collaboration with colleagues from Quality and Enterprise Risk Management, continuously improve Industry X’s overall governance and risk management;

Work with stakeholders across Corporate Functions to evolve Accenture policies and procedures to accommodate the requirements of the Supply Chain and Engineering business;
Help evaluate prospective acquisition targets on behalf of the Supply Chain and Engineering business, conduct due diligence, and shape post-merger integration strategies.
Knowledge Skills and Experience

5+ years relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting, with a preference for prior industry experience advising on the development of new product or service-based solutions.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of core legal issues relating to Supply Chain and Engineering, including:
-
Applications of cutting-edge technologies, such as digital manufacturing, digital twins, Internet of Things/edge computing, cloud computing, embedded systems, and artificial intelligence (AI);

Product liability in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer contexts; and
-
Applicable regulatory landscapes and their effect on product and service qualification, development & launch (e.g., for hardware, embedded systems, and/or software).

Candidates should ideally also have experience in:

Risk identification, analysis, and management relating to product creation, engineering and operational technology, as distinct from information technology consulting;

Drafting and negotiation of client and supplier agreements, including understanding of intellectual property, data privacy and data protection issues;

Deal shaping and evaluation of new commercial models; and
-
Developing trusted relationships with senior Business leaders.

Education and Qualifications
