For an international company that develops and manufactures high-precision fuel monitoring systems and fuel level sensors, we are seeking a Technical and Sales Support Engineer to join their team in Mexico. We seek for someone really looking for a job experience with medium-long term expectations.
This position is ideal for a technically skilled individual with a customer-centric approach and a desire to grow in an international environment. The role involves providing both specialized technical support and technical-sales support before and after the sale.
The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding customer technical requirements, resolving product inquiries, assisting in identifying appropriate solutions, tracking incidents, and collaborating with engineering and sales teams to ensure a robust and reliable experience.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
1. Completed degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
2. At least 1.5 to 2 years of prior experience in technical support, help desk, or customer service.
3. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. 4. Excellent communication and interaction skills with clients and internal teams.
5. Ability to explain technical topics clearly and practically.
6. Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and also teach others.
7. Proactive, decisive, organized, and with a genuine service orientation.
8. Comfortable working closely with technical and sales teams.
9. Availability to work on-site and to travel for work when required.
Desired Knowledge and Experience
- Good general knowledge of electronics and radioelectronics.
- Experience in troubleshooting, fault analysis, and incident escalation.
- Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and digital work tools.
- Experience or knowledge in M2M, telematics, GPS, IoT, fleet monitoring, or similar solutions will be a significant advantage.
- Experience providing technical support related to product, installation, use, or after-sales service.
- Interest in combining a technical role with sales interaction and customer service.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS POSITION:
1. Support the sales team in the pre-sales stage by providing technical guidance on products and solutions.
2. Resolve technical questions from potential clients and help identify the most suitable configuration or solution based on project needs.
3. Provide technical support to clients and partners regarding fuel monitoring products and level sensors.
4. Respond to technical inquiries via email and telephone in a clear, professional, and timely manner.
5. Diagnose, analyze, and reproduce technical problems to identify root causes and define alternative solutions.
6. Track technical incidents, escalations, and response times, appropriately managing client expectations.
7. Document cases, findings, solutions, and technical recommendations.
8. Collaborate with the engineering team in resolving more complex cases.
9. Support the initial implementation and post-sales follow-up from a technical perspective.
10. Provide support to existing clients to ensure the correct operation and use of the solution.
11. Strengthen customer relationships through efficient, personalized, and solution-oriented technical support.
Internal Coordination
- Work across departments with sales, applications, and engineering.
- Report directly to the Regional Manager in Mexico.
- Support technical activities related to visits, sales follow-up, and special projects.
- Travel as needed to address business requirements, provide support, or offer technical assistance.
