The Team
A&M's License Advisory Services team supports clients worldwide in mitigating operational risk by addressing permit, license, registration or other regulatory requirements triggered by ownership changes arising from mergers, acquisitions, distress or other structuring events, using proven processes and technology-driven tools. We are seeking an Intern to join our Mexico City office and support our growing License Advisory Services team.
How you will contribute
As an Intern within our License Advisory Services Team, you will:
Assist in communicating with federal, state and local regulatory agencies and departments of tax under supervision
Research federal, state and local statutes and municipal ordinances related to business license requirements
Support analysis and documentation of business licensing issues stemming from M&A, restructuring and other corporate transactions
Assist in preparing license applications and supporting documentation required by jurisdictions
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team under the guidance of senior staff members
Gain exposure to M&A, restructuring and transaction concepts
Learn to use technology-driven tools to support client solutions
Build internal relationships and effectively communicate on assigned tasks and timelines
Develop knowledge of various industries and business license issues
Deliver high-quality work products that meet quality standards
Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality of client information
Qualifications:
Fields of study Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting and Legal
Recent graduates and Full-time availability
Positive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn with an agile, growth-oriented mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong research and writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with supervision
Fluency in English
Willingness to learn and develop professional skills in a collaborative environment
Inclusive mindset and ability to work effectively with diverse team members
