Aon is seeking an experienced and commercially driven professional to lead its M&A and Transaction Solutions (AMATS) practice across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
The Regional AMATS Leader will be responsible for leading the development and growth of Aon M&A and Transaction Solutions (AMATS) across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. The role will oversee all business lines within the practice, including Transaction Solutions (Representations & Warranties Insurance, Tax Liability, Contingent Risks, and other specialized transactional risk solutions) and Transaction Advisory Services (Insurance and Risk Due Diligence, Lender’s Insurance Advisory, and related services).
This position combines deep expertise in corporate transactions and mergers and acquisitions with a strong commercial mindset. The Regional AMATS Leader will be responsible for developing strategic relationships with clients and advisors, generating new business opportunities, leading the regional team, and positioning Aon as the leading advisor in transaction risk solutions across the subregion.

Represent Aon at conferences, seminars, industry events, and thought leadership activities.

Generate new business opportunities through active prospecting, networking, and the development of strategic relationships with law firms, private equity funds, investment banks, and corporate organizations.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, investors, legal advisors, and financial advisors involved in corporate transactions.

Lead client and prospect meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations.

Build and manage a regional sales pipeline, ensuring achievement of growth, revenue, and profitability objectives.

Transaction Risk Advisory
-
Advise clients on risk solutions for M&A transactions, including Representations & Warranties Insurance, Tax Liability Insurance, Contingent Risks Insurance, and other specialized transactional risk products.

Oversee and promote the development of Transaction Advisory Services, including Insurance and Risk Due Diligence and Lender’s Insurance Advisory services.

Analyze transaction structures, purchase agreements, and due diligence findings to identify risks and opportunities for mitigation.

Translate complex legal and technical issues into clear commercial recommendations for clients and insurers.

Collaborate with clients, external advisors, and insurance markets to design tailored solutions for each transaction.

Lead the structuring and placement of transactional insurance programs.

Coordinate market processes with specialized insurers, negotiating optimal terms, conditions, and coverage.

Collaborate and coordinate with Aon’s specialized teams to maximize market access and support the efficient execution of transactional solutions for clients.

Analyze and compare insurer proposals to identify the best alternative for each client.

Stay informed about M&A trends, regulatory developments, and new transactional risk products.

Lead and develop the regional AMATS team across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Work closely with Commercial Risk, Legal, Broking, and other Aon business units.

Drive the growth of the AMATS practice through training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Collaborate with colleagues across Aon’s global network to identify cross-border opportunities and share best practices
Education
-
Bachelor's Degree in Law (Mexico).

Additional studies in Corporate Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines are highly valued.

Fluency in both Spanish and English, written and spoken.
Professional Experience

Significant experience in mergers and acquisitions at a leading law firm in Mexico or in roles involving complex corporate transactions.

Experience advising private equity firms, strategic acquirers, and other relevant corporate transactions.

Strong knowledge of M&A structures, purchase agreements, and transaction execution processes.

Exposure to cross-border transactions.

Experience leading teams, specialized practices, or business units is highly preferred.

Knowledge of or experience in Insurance and Risk Due Diligence, Lender’s Insurance Advisory, transactional insurance solutions, risk management, or financial services.

Candidates with a proven track record in business development, consultative sales, relationship management, and revenue generation will be especially valued.
