Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and support backend services that underpin business-critical applications

Work alongside cross-functional teams to establish technical strategies and launch valuable features

Turn business and technical requirements into well-formed, durable, and scalable code
-
Play an active part across the full software development lifecycle, from initial planning and design through release and long-term support

Share input in architectural discussions and put forward recommendations to improve existing systems and engineering methods

Engage in peer code reviews to safeguard high coding standards and foster knowledge sharing across the team

Join Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings
Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a similar field of study

No less than 2 years of hands-on professional experience in backend software development
-
Strong command of Java 8/11/17+ for producing stable and maintainable server-side applications

Applied know-how with Spring Boot for creating modern, production-ready microservices
-
Practical experience with Spring Cloud Stream for building event-driven microservice implementations

Solid understanding of Apache Kafka, including topics, partitions, and consumer groups

Firm knowledge of event-driven architectures (EDA) and the foundational principles of microservices design
-
Direct exposure to distributed systems and situations involving high concurrency

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (B2+ level or higher)
Nice to have

Familiarity with WebFlux and reactive programming for building non-blocking, high-throughput applications

Working knowledge of RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ for handling messaging and asynchronous data flow

Practical background with Kubernetes or OpenShift for container orchestration and deployment activities

Awareness of Jenkins for creating and managing CI/CD pipelines

Skillful use of Git for source control and joint code administration

Applied experience with SonarQube for ongoing code quality assessments

Prior experience in the banking or finance industry for supplying domain-relevant knowledge
